Smart Grid in the USA from the Hannover Messe in Germany

Urban Peyker explained the structure and goals of Germany's Export Initiative for Energy Efficiency, of which Smart Grid is a part.
Virginia Attaway Rounds provided an overview of the structure of the electrical grid and the markets it serves in the United States.
Dale Pennington gave an in-depth report on the status of smart grid projects and technologies in the United States, and discussed how the challenges and best practices in developing and implementing those projects. Current market needs and entry strategies were discussed during the Q&A at the end.
Dr. Henning Lohse-Busch
offered insight into the impacts that vehicle electrification and the ensuing charging infrastructure requirements will have on the power grid in the United States.
