Transatlantic Program 2009 – Alumni ReunionOn January 16, 2009, close to 40 TAP alumni came from all over the United States for a special reunion in Washington, D.C., which was highlighted by a reception at the residence of German Ambassador to the U.S., Dr. Klaus Scharioth - the official patron of the Transatlantic Program, and also included a series of meetings, networking events, and social gatherings.
We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank Ambassador Scharioth and his team for providing the TAP Alumni and GACCoM with such a warm welcome at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany and for having extended the invitation to the Transatlantic Program Alumni to hold their annual reunion in this location that is so essential to German-American relations, which is what our program is all about.
Ambassador Scharioth became the patron of the Transatlantic Program in July 2008 and we are ever so excited to have received such an honorable recognition from the German government and its Ambassador to the United States. We are very much looking forward to continuing our work with the Transatlantic Program 2009 and will be sure to continue the relationship in the future, with an even bigger Alumni network, more stories to tell and more transatlantic relationships in place.
