Click here for event pictures The “Solar Expert Luncheons” are a new event series of the German American Chambers of Commerce. The program takes place under the framework of the Renewable Energies Export Initiative and is supported by the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology. This unique luncheon took place at the Denver Marriott City Center featuring Michael Harre, Managing Director and CSO of SCHOTT Solar AG. Mr. Harre also serves as Director of the European Photovoltaic Industry Association (EPIA). The Solar Energy Expert Luncheon was an exciting opportunity to learn about the latest developments, challenges and chances in the German and US solar energy market using SCHOTT Solar AG as an excellent example for being active on both markets. Attendees included technology suppliers, system and component manufacturers, developers, public policy makers and other stakeholders that have an interest in the renewable and especially solar industry. Michael Harre has been part of the management team of SCHOTT Solar GmbH since October 2002 and since then has been responsible for SCHOTT's marketing and sales activities worldwide. In 2008, Michael Harre was promoted Chief Sales Officer (CSO) of SCHOTT Solar AG, being responsible for SCHOTT's worldwide marketing and sales of photovoltaic (PV) and concentrated solar power (CSP).
