Projects 2007As part of its ongoing mission to further trade and cooperation between the US and Germany, GACCoM organizes a wide variety of projects.

BioEnergy Business: over 170 US attendees and 76 German companies attended an event in Minneapolis in April focusing on biogas and biodiesel. The event was organized in coordination with the German Energy Agency (DENA), and sponsored by the German Ministry for Economics and Technology (BMWi). More…
WindEnergy Business: over 160 US attendees and 8 German companies attended an event in Des Moines, IA in November focusing on the US wind energy industry and innovative German suppliers. Keynote speakers included Chet Culver, governor of Iowa, and Bob Gates, president of AWEA. Green Architecture: In November 2007 the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest (GACCoM) and Baden-Wuerttemberg International hosted a seminar on Energy Efficiency in Architecture, in cooperation with The American Institute of Architects (AIA) – Chicago Chapter. This seminar provided a forum for German and US companies, developers, architects, engineers and designers to share expertise and discuss experiences with their transatlantic counterparts. More...
