The German American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest (GACCoM / AHK USA - Chicago), headquartered in Chicago, was founded in 1963. GACCoM is an integral part of the network of German Chambers of Commerce Abroad (AHKs) with 120 offices in 80 countries around the globe. Our continuing mission is to foster, promote and assist in the expansion of bilateral trade and investment between Germany and the United States, especially the Midwest. Our organization combines the elements of a trade commission, a membership association, and a professional consultancy.
Assistant Manager - German American Services, Inc.
Opportunity Overview:
German American Services, Inc. (henceforth GASI), a subsidiary organization of the German American Chamber of Commerce of the Midwest, Inc. (GACCoM), is currently seeking a talented and driven individual for the role of Assistant Manager. The Assistant Manager will be primarily responsible for a wide range of planning and organizational activities for GASI’s events, most notably the annual Christkindlmarket Chicago, including hands-on event execution and post-event wrap-up activities. The position will support the day-to-day and long-term functions, duties, projects and strategic initiatives of GASI and will report to and work closely with the Manager of GASI.
Manager, Public Relations and Communications
We are looking for a full-time, bilingual (German/English) Manager, Public Relations and Communications with a minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience. The position will be supported in day-to-day tasks by an intern.
